When I tell to my friends I'm working from home. First, they're astonished then they believe I do data entry or stuffing envelopes. No all of them have yet realized the endless possibilities due to the constant expansion of the web...

Do you intend to work from home in 2009?

This article will tell you How to keep your work and family life separate! Indeed this is much more essential than you could imagine... If you work from home, you've a lot of freedoms your on-site friends don't enjoy. Quite often, you set your own hours and schedule your work to your convenience. You can work in your jammies at midnight if it suits you. There're no scheduled coffee breaks or anyone breathing down your neck. You save money, because you don't have to drive anywhere, you don't need an extensive, expensive wardrobe and you'll never miss a school play because of conflicting hours. So how good can it get?

4 Work Online Opportunities Suggestions:

  1. Freelance jobs such as Freelance writer, Freelance webmaster, Freelance web designer, etc.
  2. Independent demonstrator for companies like Partylite (candles), Tupperware, and much more, done full time it can generate a full income
  3. Becoming a successful Affiliate Marketer
  4. Taking Online Surveys
Let them understand you're currently working!

As usual, there's a down side to this lovely setup. Many surveys, conducted with an audience of work from home people, invariably reveal that the number one problem issue is getting your family members to believe that you actually have a job! Sure, they know you derive an income, sitting at your computer. The problem is, if you're at home, you're therefore viewed as available for interruption at any time. Although it's nice to be able to chat every now and then, you know you must exercise discipline and adhere to a schedule, no matter how loosely structured it may be. If you aren't consistent, the work doesn't get done.

If you don't, you'll be disturbed all the time!

Your dilemma becomes figuring out how to keep your family from feeling left out or neglected. There're many necessary and desirable interruptions. If your child comes rushing in, all excited about getting on A on a school paper, you want to take the time to share the good news. How about: Hey, Daddy, where's my socks? or Sweetie, can you make a pot of coffee? You can see how your paradisaical work from home can easily become a situation where you squeeze your work in between family demands. Handling this in a way which satisfies everyone requires some finesse on your part. On the one hand, you don't want to be inflexible, shutting off all communication during your work hours. On the other hand, you've got to maintain your focus and get your work done. If you let it happen, you'll end up running yourself ragged, trying to accommodate everyone.

Write down and display the new rules!

The solution which seems to work best is to simply lay down the basic rules at the outset. Get everyone together and explain that when you're working, they must pretend that you're essentially not home, except in certain instances. In other words, your beloved child needs to find the socks and wife might venture into the kitchen and brew a pot of Fair Trade coffee for herself.

Once you've established the ground rules for your work from home job, get everyone to buy in to this arrangement. You'll doubtless need to give them a few reminders, but eventually it'll work out, without ruffled feathers or hurt feelings. You can also teach your kids a work ethic, by your good example. Your wife will survive quite nicely, too.

You Too have to be focused...

To conclude: if you can afford work an a specific where you can have a quiet atmosphere to keep concentration at its highest level. A quiet atmosphere in my case means no TV, no door rings and no kids playing around. I love my kids but I also working in a silent room to work more efficiently. When I have my work done? I spent my free time playing or reading with my kids. There're times for work and times for recreation.
